Lets Fill Our Society with a Lil' Bit of Manners

This morning I got a bit of annoyed by what an uncle had said behind me when me and my boyfie were having our brunch at a restaurant in Pavillion.

So it started when a pair of guy friends occupied the table behind me and I felt my chair is against the chair behind me because the guy must have shaking his leg or whatsoever. Therefore, I've pulled in my chair so both him and I can get a peace of mind when having our meal as I'm pretty sure he would felt the same when I moved. There comes his friend commenting me that I am 身娇肉贵, simply means I am too expensive to even touch or in a way saying that I am arrogant. I told my bf what I heard and he was quite pissed off by pulling the table towards him so that I can have more space. Here comes another swear word from behind. I was like, GOSH! Can't we just have our meal peacefully?! I decided not to say anything and also trying to calm my bf down as the guy who kept verbally abusing us apparently was trying to get into a fight with us but why do we have to be controlled by him? And remember how I have addressed him from my first sentence? An uncle! Yes, a guy who is at least 20 years older than me and well groomed could speak out something so uncivilized!

What I am trying to say here is, we are in a society which is getting more and more selfish. Many of us who are even very well educated also do not have a single bit of courtesy. Not only that, a lot of times we even have forgotten what is the basic manner that we have been learning since young.

Since we are talking about this, how many of you actually have experienced someone kept kicking on the back of your chair in movie theater? I had countless of times.....being kicked! There was only one time that I had turned over and asked the guy to stop kicking and that's it. The rest of the times I was sucking it up! But deep down, how I wish people can have a little bit more sense and courtesy? Put yourself into other people's shoes, how would you feel if the person behind you keep tapping on your chair? Annoyed or enjoyed?

After this incident, I sincerely do hope our society can be filled in slightly bit more of love, manners, and courtesy. Try not to just think only yourself but also others around you.
